This past holiday season, 154 students at Valley View Elementary School received toys that were graciously donated from members of the Las Cruces community. Tony Grenko, the Social Worker at Valley View, has been organizing the school's Toys for Tots program since 2001. The students and families at Valley View greatly appreciate the continued support shown by the community every year. Valley View would also like to pay homage to Jack and Peggy Petrowsky, who started the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program in Las Cruces in the early 1990s. Jack and Peggy dedicated the 20 years of their retirement to building and staffing Toys for Tots. It is their legacy and contribution to families and kids in need that we continue this program today.
