Valley View Elementary is excited to have the Junior Optimist International (JOI) Club at our school! JOI Club focuses on projects that improve the community, while also helping students build leadership skills and practice positive citizenship. Valley View is the second school in southern New Mexico to have this club.
On February 14, the students of JOI Club led their first community project. They called it, "We Love Our School." They spent a portion of their day cleaning up trash and recyclables around the school and playground.
