Hello Valley View Families,
Our May 3rd Music/PE performance is almost here! Please have girls come to school wearing a white shirt to match our school Folklorico dresses and hair up in a bun (flower is optional). Girls should wear leggings or jeans so that the dress can be slipped on and off easily. If you have your own personal Folklorico dress, your child is welcome to wear it to school.
Boys should come dressed in jeans and a white shirt or nice dress shirt (boots are optional).
Students will not be given time to change in and out of dresses due to our tight schedule. Please think of the dresses as costumes that must be changed quickly due to having to share our dresses.
We are short on hats so if your child has a cowboy hat/charro they can wear for the performance please have them wear/bring it to school.
Lastly, please be mindful of the 2-adult limit due to space constraints. All families must exit the gym at the end of the show. No pictures or chatting with your students due to lunch and dismissal being immediately after our performances. Do not take your child from the gym, they must report back to their classrooms. Please pick them up as usual in the student pick up and drop off area. Thank you for understanding.

April is Recycle Month and April 22nd is Earth Day.
Less than 14% of the 86 million tons of plastics produced annually are actually recycled. Therefore, we are leaving 73.97 million tons of plastic to pollute our environment and overflow our landfills each year. We Can Do Better!
Here are some tips to recycle:
• Avoid single-use plastic items; instead utilize glass or paper
• Glass products can be reused
• Paper products are much friendlier for the environment
